6 SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS IN NORTHERN REGION RECEIVED 7 VEHICLES

The Northern Regional Minister, Hon Shani Alhassan Shaibu, on behalf of the government of the Republic of Ghana, led by H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo presented 6 Pick-ups and a 65 seater bus to the Northern Regional Director of education for onward distribution to 6 Senior High Schools within the Northern region on Friday, 11 February, 2022 at the Northern Regional Coordinating Council.
The beneficiary schools are; Tamale Senior High School, Ghana Senior High School, Gushegu Senior High School, Kasuliyili Senior High School, Zabzugu Senior High School, and Tatale Senior High School.
Hon. Shaibu said, the donation, which is made possible through the GETFUND initiative, seeks enhance movement and activities of the beneficiary schools.
He therefore, urged the schools to keep the vehicles for the intended purposes and serve their schools more effectively.
He also appealed to the schoolsโ€™ authority to be mindful of the maintenance of the vehicles to keep them in good condition, as this will extend the life span of the vehicles.
He assured that, more of the vehicles will be provided for the other schools to also benefit.
The Northern Regional Director of education, Peter Attafuah then handed over the keys to the vehicles, to the heads of the beneficiary schools.
The headmaster of Tamale Senior High School, Rev. Edward Azika, on behalf of his colleague beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Government for the donation.
He assured Northern Regional Minister and the Northern Regional Director of education of their commitment to ensure the vehicles are used for the intended purposes and also ensure effective maintenance
