The National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development is organizing the First Regional Development Forum in the Northern part of Ghana under the World Bank-funded Gulf of Guinea Social Cohesion (SOCO) Project with the theme “Achieving Equitable and Balance Development through effective project delivery in Northern Ghana”

The forum aims at providing a platform for dialogue among key stakeholders in the region on key issues impacting on their resilience, build concensus on these issues and chart a common path towards realization of their development aspirations.

Presentations and discussions will reflect on development disparity between the North and the South in the midst of numerous project implementations in the Northern Region, issues of resilience including climate, health, Agriculture among others and the forms of stakeholder collaboration and partnership that would be required to significantly advance development in the region.

The venue is at Modern City Hotel in Tamale. The forum comes off on Tuesday, 15 August, 2023. At 9:00am

The general public is invited to participate in the forum via zoom with the meeting
