At the grand opening ceremony of the 11th Biennial Convention of the Knights of Saint John International, Hon. Yakubu Mohammed Ahmed, the Municipal Chief Executive of Sagnarigu, delivered a significant speech on behalf of the Northern Regional Minister.
In his address, he underscored the organization’s vital role in shaping the future of the Church and providing essential support to the faithful.
Expressing his optimism, Hon. Yakubu Mohammed Ahmed stated that the Knights and Ladies of St. John International have consistently played a pivotal role in touching the lives of countless individuals and families, offering much-needed care and support during challenging times. Their dedication has significantly improved the lives of many, he noted.
He stressed the importance of religious tolerance within the synodal Church, highlighting its ability to foster peaceful coexistence among people with different faiths, beliefs, or values.
He called on all attendees to embrace a culture of religious tolerance, promoting mutual respect and harmony.
“I am committed to working with you towards this goal and to promoting religious tolerance in all aspects of the lives of the people in the Northern region and the nation as a whole,” declared Hon. Yakubu Mohammed Ahmed.
The Knights of St. John International, particularly the Ladies’ Auxiliary, are renowned for their contributions to spreading the Catholic Faith through charitable and merciful works.
