Hon.Takoro used the occasion to encourage young people to recognise that education came with responsibility, stressing that knowledge gained from the Quran should guide them to become honest, compassionate, hardworking and respectful members of society.
He urged the youth to reject violence, intolerance, corruption, drug abuse and other behaviours that could undermine their future and threaten the peace and development of their communities. The Mayor also called on the people of the Northern Region to continue appreciating and supporting religious and traditional leaders for their contributions towards peace, moral guidance and social cohesion.
