On Monday, August 25, 2025, the Northern Regional Minister, Hon. Ali Adolf John Mburudiba, accompanied by the Mayor of Tamale, Hon. Abubakari Adam Takoro, and the Northern Regional Director of Education, Mr. Alidu Alhassan Junior, visited the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) centres in the Northern Region. During the visit, the Regional Minister and the Mayor of Tamale interacted with candidates who were sitting for examinations, motivating the students throughout the process.

Hon. Ali Adolf, on behalf of the Northern Regional Coordinating Council and personally, wished the candidates the best of luck in their exams, and highlighted their potential as future leaders. He advised them to remain confident and focused on approaching questions to provide accurate answers and excel.
According to the Northern Regional Director of Education, Mr. Alidu Alhassan Junior, total of 19,413 candidates are sitting for the examination. The candidates comprise 9,621 males and 9,792 females across the region.The examination is being conducted in 29 designated centres.The exercise is supervised by 29 supervisors, 92 assistant supervisors, and 1,080 invigilators to ensure its smooth and credible conduct.
