𝗡𝗥𝗖𝗖 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗗𝗦 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗖𝗢𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

The Northern Regional Coordinating Council(NRCC), convened an Expanded Management Meeting at the NRCC Conference Hall on the 14th of August 2025. This gathering comprised Regional Heads of Departments and Units. Chief Director, Sumaila Ewuntomah Abudu extended a cordial welcome to the attending units and department heads.
The Honorable Ali Adolf John, esteemed Northern Regional Minister, in his address,
expressed gratification in convening with the attendees for the second time since his assumption of office. He underscored the imperative of regular expanded management meetings to ensure a cohesive and uniform direction in the region.
Hon. Ali Adolf John conveyed sincere gratitude for the commendable support and proactive engagement of heads of departments in various endeavors, including stakeholder meetings, courtesy visits to traditional and religious leaders, and participation in the confirmation processes of MMDCEs.
The Regional Minister articulated concerns pertaining to labour productivity, attributing deleterious tendencies such as tardiness, absenteeism, and indolence to deficiencies in leadership. He enjoined heads of departments to institute appropriate measures to mitigate these negative traits and to exercise judicious circumspection in interactions with workers and clients, adhering to best practices.
Hon. Adolf emphasized that leadership entails responsibility towards departments, the populace, and the future. He encouraged familiarity with the NDC’s “RESETTING GHANA AGENDA” to guide activities across various sectors.
The Regional Minister requested heads of departments to furnish requisite guidance for the efficacious preparation of District Medium Term Development Plans (2026-2029).
Hon. Ali Adolf John accentuated the significance of the meeting in assessing performance, reflecting upon challenges, consolidating accomplishments, and recalibrating strategies to expedite the development of the region.
During the meeting, representatives from the Department of Agriculture, Ghana Health Service, and Ghana Education Service delivered presentations on key issues pertinent to their respective domains. These presentations were moderated by the Chief Director.
Participants proffered questions, suggestions, and valuable inputs aimed at augmenting productivity in the region.
In his closing remarks, Chief Director Mr. Sumaila admonished heads of departments to develop indicators or strategies for presentations that align with national objectives.
