𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗥𝗜 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗠𝗠𝗗𝗔 𝗕𝗨𝗗𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗣 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗘

The 2025-2028 Composite Budget Production Workshop for Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) commenced on November 6, 2024, at Pioneer Lodge in Tamale. Mr. Sumaila Ewuntomah Abudu, Acting Chief Director of the Northern Regional Coordinating Council, delivered the opening remarks on behalf of the Northern Regional Minister.
The workshop, facilitated by the Strengthening Investment in Gender-Responsive Climate Adaptation (SIGRA) project, provides a collaborative platform for MMDAs to share ideas, align policy objectives, and finalize budget submissions. Notably, SIGRA covered 79.74% of the workshop’s costs, with the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) and MMDAs covering the remaining 20.26%.

– 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻:
Complete budget submissions to the Ministry of Finance by November 8, 2024, as per the 2025-2028 budget preparation guidelines.
Mr. Sumaila emphasized the workshop’s significance for effective budget implementation and development outcomes in Ghana’s metropolitan, municipal, and district assemblies. Participants are expected to finalize their budgets by the end of the two-day workshop.
